As a modern European capital, Lisbon offers a wide range of magazines and newspapers in other languages. There are a myriad of kiosks and book shops and you should have no problem in finding something to read in your native language. Even a small unassuming kiosk may contain dozens of English magazines, several French, German, Italian and Spanish ones and Spanish, Italian, French, Dutch, English, German, Ukrainian, Russian and other newspapers.

The best English-language information on events in Lisbon in the monthly magazine Follow Me Lisboa, free at the Lisboa Welcome Centres and in tourist offices. The country’s English-language weekly newspaper is the Portugal News. A stylish magazine, Essential Lisboa, offers up-to-date information, including about bars and restaurants.
