Lisbon is typically associated with the Golden Age of discoveries, haunting Fado laments, creamy custard tarts and as a place full of romance and rich in nostalgia. Since the 1998 Lisbon Expo, however, Portugal’s capital city has attracted much investment and has undergone a facelift, making it far more modern and accessible than it was a decade ago.
