When to visit Lisbon

Lisbon can be enjoyed all year round. The climate is less extreme than in many other southern European destinations, and both winter and summer have their own charm: the city being quieter in August, flooded with light during the whole summer and having an enchanting atmosphere in winter. That having been said, maximum temperatures above 30ºC are normal in July and August, and it is colder and there is more rain in winter and early spring. If you find any of this unbearable, May, June and September are most probably the best times for you to visit.
