The island of Ibiza is surrounded by clear cobalt waters, which largely influences the land temperature. During the summer, the warmth of the Mediterranean Sea creates a balmy, temperate climate. Once water temperatures cool off in autumn, air temperatures in Ibiza drop correspondingly. During the hottest parts of the year, the sea temperature can even be warmer than the air, averaging at 25°C in August and 21°C in October. A gentle sea breeze regularly tickles the island’s 200 km of coastline, mostly coming from the south-west, keeping overall temperatures moderate and comfortable.
