The satellite image below provides regularly updated images of climatic conditions in Valencia and on the eastern coast of Spain. These constant weather updates can be a very useful reference tool when preparing your holiday in this beautiful region of Spain. Valencia enjoys an enviable climate all year round and periods of inclement weather are unusual and, if they do occur, normally short-lived. The high summer temperatures coincide with the customary Spanish summer holiday break when most Spaniards will rush to the beaches. For this reason, the city beaches and resorts up and down the Valencian coast will see a much larger influx of visitors than at other times of the year. The famous July Fair also adds to the attraction, providing a month of outdoor concerts, theatre, open-air cinema, sports, bullfighting and, naturally, the ubiquitous fireworks which are displayed every Saturday night on the Arenas beach. An October visit (7th-9th) will coincide with Valencia’s proud celebrations of the Day of the Valencian Community celebrating the end of Islamic rule in 1238 and King Jaime I’s institution of the Autonomous Region of Valencia. In typical Valencian style, a great deal of pomp and partying ensue. |
