Prague Weather |
The Czech Republic is not a destination renowned for its fabulous weather. The clouds come in and tend to linger. There are a lot of grey days in Prague, although the rain seldom pours down. The winter temperatures can range from cold to freezing. You’ll find snow in the surrounding hills, as well as some in the city, but it’s not uncommon for it to thaw several times, only to be replaced with a fresh coat. Springtime is unpredictable, often marked by cool weather and rain, though some years are particularly blessed, with more sunny days than average. Summers are generally mild, but there are days when the sun bakes and it’s easy to get burned. Bring extra weather gear and prepare for thunderstorms, or a sudden dip in the temperature. Autumn is brisk but sunny. If you don’t mind nippy weather, this is the perfect time to visit Prague. The city’s weather is variable. The evenings are usually cool, no matter the season. Come prepared and dress in layers, so you don’t cook in your skin, freeze or get soaked. |
