Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian This well endowed foundation holds regular stage performances by the foundation's orchestra, choir and ballet companies, and houses Lisbon’s finest and largest collection of modern art. Also holds one of the world’s best collections of Islamic and oriental art, which was amassed by Armenian oil magnate Calouste Gulbenkian. The beautiful building and gardens are in themselves a reason to visit.

Museu do Palácio Nacional da Ajuda Once a royal residence, the Ajuda Palace Museum features paintings, sculptures and decorative arts of the 19th century as well as major visiting international art exhibitions.

Museu Do Chiado - Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea Located in the heart of Chiado, this museum contains a rare and remarkable collection of Portuguese contemporary art including Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro and Almada Negreiros.
